If you are looking to start a career in the A&D industry, send us your resume today! Position Summary The CNC Mill Operator will ensure parts are compliant according to required specifications.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment and provide the highest level of work ethic.
In this position, you will possess strong CNC set-up skills to include touching off tools, indicating vices, using an edge finder, and other tools as necessary.
You will be extremely comfortable using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators to verify the conformance of parts.
The ability to follow instructions, read blueprints, sketches, and/or drawings including basic GD&T is critical to your success at UPC.
Experience working in the A&D industry and a basic understanding of AS9100 principals are highly desired but not required.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a CNC Operator role.
Skills and Responsibilities Strong ability to maintain machine output throughout the day by checking for tools wear, making offsets, or replacing tools as needed Experience working with a wide variety of material and tooling Strong knowledge of G-code and the ability to edit machine programs to improve cycle time/tool life 4-axis mill operation and set up experience Experience with Mori Seiki, Doosan, and Fadal CNC machines Experience operating horizontal milling machines CNC lathe experience Experience with CAM software (i.
e.
Mastercam, Fusion360, etc.
) PC operation including Microsoft Office Suite and e-mail Physical Requirements Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments Walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, etc.
